There is something really cool about a small wireless printer. If you are like most people then you might think having a small wireless printer will help you out and make printing less stressful. Although this is true there are still some things you need to know about.
Many of you have probably never seen a wireless portable printer, but I think it is pretty self explanatory what it is. I have written about a lot of things when it comes to electronics, but this is one of the most simple things. It’s a printer that can print without wires! But there are a few other things under the hood that a lot of people don’t know about.
The reason I am writing this article is because many people just walk into the store looking for a wireless printer and choose the first printer they see. This is a huge mistake because you need to treat wireless printers with caution because with some of them things can go wrong. There are so many different types of ways printers hook up wirelessly and you need to make sure you are getting the one that suits your needs best. If you are using it for just at home then getting one with a WI-FI connection is probably the best.
The best example we can use for how wireless printers work is the fact that it works in almost the same way as if you were to hook up your smart phone to the internet. However, there are also some that connect via Bluetooth which means they can connect to many other devices. This might not matter for a lot of people, but if you have some sort of smart phone you can actually hook it up to the printer and print wirelessly straight from your phone!
One thing you need to realize about the wireless printer is the fact that because it uses no wires it will actually use a lot more power than a printer that was using wires. This is not a huge deal if you are in an are that you can charge it, but if you are not in an area you can charge it and it dies you will be upset. However, there are some that allow you to charge them through your computers USB port. Your other option is to actually purchase some backup batteries for your printer in case your battery runs out
The last thing we recommend you do is take your time to do research and figure out which printer is actually best for you. if after reading this you decide having a wired printer is what you want, then get it! There truly is not need to get a wireless printer if you aren’t going to be using it wirelessly!
But if you decide you do want a small wireless printer then you should make sure you look up reviews and set a budget so you don’t overspend. We have seen too many people spend way too much money on a printer they don’t use.
